| Description | Fun downriver race for Class III+ paddlers who have previously run the Little Falls section of the Potomac River. After registration and safety meeting at Lock 5, all racers will head to the put-in, paddle up the canal, *paddle down Z-Channel, and arrive at the start near the outflow from Z-Channel. These races will be mass starts BY CATEGORY! At the start racers will line up facing up river. On the whistle/bell racers will turn around and proceed down river. Official times will not be kept, only finish order. |
| Course | Starting line is below the outflow from Z-Channel. Racers will navigate down the main flow of the river and through Little Falls. Specific course will be announced on social media. The finish line will be either (a) in the river-left eddy below the concrete observation platform at the end of Little Falls (upstream of Chain Bridge), or (b) at some pre-designated location below Chain Bridge. |
